AI Bootcamp

Following the new trends and recent project grants, LARES research group is steering in the direction of AI in the fields of energy management, logistics, transportation, agriculture, etc. AI is a tradition that we are holding for over 20 years, but new industry trends recently brought it back to fore. Our senior researchers stepped in and are holding an intensive, one-week course named "AI Bootcamp", which brings hands-on knowledge about machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to everyone interested.

About the course

The AI bootcamp is an intensive one-week course covering the basic concepts of artificial intelligence and machine learning. The course transfers relevant tools and methods including real data and case studies that serve as an entry point to the world of artificial intelligence. The course builds foundations suitable for further upgrade either towards AI projects steering or deeper understanding of the methods. A typical AI project flow is covered, from getting and understanding the data, tuning the models, all the way to their implementation, initial results, and fine-tuning. Alongside the theoretical background, the course also includes practical hands-on Python experience paired with real datasets providing the know-how needed to quickly and efficiently apply these techniques to new problems.

The course is intended for business attendees as a short specialization and introduction to AI and machine learning tools as well as for creating their first prediction/classification models. It implies that attendees already have experience in the technical field they are dealing with and the know-how to think critically about the data they are working with, while we lay the strong foundations of AI during the course.

All participants who successfully finish the course, i.e. attend all the lectures and complete all the assignments, will receive a certificate of completion.
