With the rise of AI-driven innovation and new project grants, the LARES research group expanded its focus on artificial intelligence across key sectors like energy management, logistics, transportation, weather forecasting, and agriculture. While AI has been an integral part of our research for over 20 years, recent industry trends have propelled it back into the spotlight. To share our expertise, our senior researchers are leading a series of intensive one-week "AI Bootcamps." These hands-on courses provide practical knowledge in machine learning, AI algorithms, and mathematical optimization, equipping participants with the skills to tackle real-world challenges.

Programme details

The AI Bootcamp Programme offers a series of intensive one-week courses designed to provide a comprehensive foundation in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and mathematical optimization. Beginning with the introductory Foundations of AI course, progressing through Time Series Forecasting, and culminating with Mathematical Optimization, this curriculum is structured to equip participants with the essential knowledge and practical skills necessary for data-driven analysis and the development of decision-support systems.

The programme is carefully designed to convey cutting-edge tools and methodologies through the use of real-world data and case studies, serving as an effective entry point into the field of artificial intelligence. By integrating both theoretical and hands-on learning, participants gain a well-rounded understanding of AI concepts, enabling them to either implement AI-driven projects or further specialize in the underlying methodologies.
