Nowadays, natural gas is considered to be the most environmentally friendly fossil fuel and because of this reason consumption is increasing. Reliable remote monitoring of the central gas station has been established and described in this thesis. The established system represents station monitoring by collecting, storing and displaying data on a remote computer server that communicates via Modbus TCP and SNMP protocols and SQL database with various sensors and actuators. The implementation of the task was carried out on the commercial platform Niagara 4, including adjustable data display for various visualization devices (e.g. a mobile phone).
