The project is carried out under call PK.1.1.12 – IRI S3, with funding through the grant program for research and development projects.

The goal of the project is to develop a program for automated energy optimization of buildings by applying advanced methods of data analysis, optimization algorithms and digital models of energy systems, with the aim of increasing energy efficiency and reducing energy consumption in buildings.

The anticipated start date is 1 July 2026. Employment is established for a fixed term for the duration of the project, with an expected duration of 3 years.

The following positions are open within the implementation of the project:

Researcher (2 full-time positions)

Selection requirements:

  • completed university graduate study or university integrated undergraduate and graduate study or professional graduate study in the field of electrical engineering, computing, energy or a related field
  • theoretical and practical knowledge in the areas of:
    • machine learning and data analysis
    • development and application of optimization algorithms
    • programming and development of software solutions
    • application of the above methods in the areas of energy systems and/or energy efficiency of buildings
  • experience working on research and development projects
  • desirable experience with tools and programming languages for data processing and algorithm development
  • interest in research and development work
  • ability to work in a team and to perform tasks independently

Job description:

  • participation in research and development activities of the project
  • development and testing of algorithms and software solutions
  • data processing and analysis
  • participation in the development and testing of prototype systems
  • preparation of technical and project documentation
  • participation in scientific work with a high degree of independence in conducting research
  • performing other tasks within the scope of work as determined by the project manager
